Printed pants are apparently the thing for Spring 2012. From DVF to F21..... expect to see these wild child printed pants to be every which way you turn. You can find zebra, geometric and floral prints in wide-legged, tapered trousers or slim-fit. For those of us who don't follow fashion rules to the 'T' (that's me included)..... then mix up printed tops or stripped tanks with the party pants all you want. For those who are less risky.... the key to the outfit is letting that pants be the center of attention and keeping the rest simple. Be true to whichever style works for you, just be sure you wear the print instead of the print wearing you..... make sense? If you don't want to make a huge commitment to a pair, but maybe just date the idea of printed pants for a while, there are super affordable options available at Asos, Forever 21 and Zara.
For me, the jury is still out. First off, up until Saturday night, I hadn't actually worn a pair of pants in.... well, at least five years. No joke. I'm just not a pants person. Recently, I decided to test run a pair of black fitted trousers to go with my menswear inspired looks.... and so far its just been good-not-great. But we're getting there. Baby steps people.
I'd like to know what y'all think. Are you digging the printed pants or lukewarm to the idea of flower wallpaper prints cascading down your legs? If you're on the party pants train.... how do you wear the look? Please share your tips!
