Catskills + Week(end) Roll Call

How is it Friday again already?! The weeks have been flying by and it's either scary or awesome to think March is days away.

Last week we fled the city with 16 other creatives (whom I'm incredibly inspired by), holed ourselves up in a massive cabin and created some amazing work. It will be a long way down the road until all can be shared, but here's a few peeks via Instagram. We feasted like kings, build fires like eagles scouts, listened to incredible musicians play songs, shared late night conversation and ultimately walked away with some of the most memorable days we've lived.  Cheers to our work together!

Things from around the interwebs this week ::

- Still can't get over the simple delivery of so much honesty in Becca's post on The Daily Muse. 'Getting Rid of the Negative' should be a thing we all get, but I feel like it eludes us so often and we need to read something like this to bring us back to reality. If you find yourself eight pages deep in Becca's blog (like I usually do), then be sure to read her post on moving to NYC. I'm a sucker for the human story and especially when it involves the reason and way people took the leap to move to this crazy city.

- The darling Colleen of Inspired To Share, has her list of 'Wanted This Week'..... and it's one steller compilation if I do say!

- I can't handle this. When will it end Paris.... when?

- This Sunday, the wonderful people of Kinfolk are hosting an intimate gathering here in Brooklyn inside The Green Building. It's a stunning venue and I can't wait to see everyone and meet some new faces! Anna is my date, as E is out of town, and I think we will both be in heaven!

Hope everyone has a marvelous weekend! What are y'all up too?

Memory Lane :: Smilebooth Takeover

20120221_ALT photobooth.jpg

So I had a moment yesterday where I found myself back on the Smilebooth website clicking through the pages and pages of photos from Alt Summit. I was just in the reminiscent mood, ya know?! I get it.... its been a month.... but we all go through our withdrawals in different ways.... don't judge.

After realizing I never actually posted any proof of our epic Smilebooth takeover (we literally took nearly 30 of these I think), it was time to share these gems with the world. I'll make up any reason to take a trip down memory lane.

Those fellow gorgeous giggling gals above are :: Colleen from Inspired to Share, Megan from The Fresh Exchange, Jessica from Dahlia Lynn, Amanda from Simple Street, Anna from Tulipe Louise and Katie. Be sure to check out their blogs and work. (And yes, that would be Katie's and my husbands doing a photobomb.... thank you boys!)

Can't wait until next year ladies!

Alt Summit :: All Stars

Alt Summit Hangover (noun); happens hours after returning from said blog/design conference. You now have a million new blogs to read and follow, at least fifty collaboration ideas, luggage explosion, a shoe box full of business cards to go thru, and morning gift bag withdrawals.

How was Alt you ask? Well, the days went by so fast, the panels were packed full of solid advice and perspective and so many new friends were met. Alt Summit 2012 is officially over and now the countdown begins for 2013. In place of a traditional camera, I decided to take along my Fuji Instax to the conference and snap some instant film shots of all the fun new friends I got to meet. So, without further adieu, I introduce to you.....  the first installment of the 'Alt Summit All Stars'!

Colleen :: This adorable gal is the face behind 'Inspired to Share'. You can see a few shots of our Smilebooth takeover here

Brooke + Summer :: This quirky and fashionable duo make being the 'Girls With Glasses' super chic. They were also the hosts of this years Paris-themed mini-party with Pinhole Press

Jeanne :: Not only is her blog called 'Shop Sweet Things', but she literally is.... the sweetest thing! She was also recently featured on Glitter Guide(no big deal!)

Tara :: This 'Savvy Southerner' is my go-to for all entertaining and decorating tips. She's one to know given her days are spent running a phenomenal event company

Jessie :: Talk about killer style on a budget. You'll be dripping with envy if you knew the great steals and deals she finds on fabulous vintage pieces. Want to see for yourself? Follow her at 'Style and Pepper'

Megan :: The creative brain behind 'The Fresh Exchange' and a co-founder of Blog Brunch. We were basically connected at the hip during the conference. So whatever she says she did in her recap, I was probably there with her. The witty Jason Hudson referenced us as a 'package deal'!

I'm sure y'all have had your fill of Alt Summit recaps, so I thought I'd pass you along to the talented bloggers below who did a fine job with laying out how it all went down.

Old Sweet Song :: She nailed it. If you read one recap - this one is it.

The Jealous Curator :: You'll spy my top knot making an appearance on this great roundup of the conference.

Nat The Fat Rat :: Took the gold medal for the best outfit at the 'Winter Wonderland' party in my book.

Tune in tomorrow for the second installment of 'Alt Summit All Stars'!
