Saturday is going to be a day of epic proportions. I have a delightful brunch planned with some top notch ladies and then I will be heading straight over the bridge to the Renegade Craft Fair. Have you been before?
The Renegade Craft Fair is like the mecca of all meccas for everything crafty under the sun. This year marks Brooklyn's eighth fair and it will be held at the East River State Park, aka the Williamsburg Waterfront . There are over 200 of the very best little nimble craft makers in the empire state descending on the park and I can't wait to see all of their amazingly unique and crafty things. Plus, it's also a mecca for the best food trucks and group DIY sessions. So, yes, basically my heaven on earth.
And it gets better..... there will be a screen-printing workshop lead by Gowanus Print Lab, a chance to make and send your very own hand designed postcard with Smallknot, of course a free photobooth to capture the day from Magnolia Photobooth and a shopping soundtrack full of great beats from Sugartown Industries.
One of my personal favorites this year is Good Season. You may remember the jewelry company from my post on gift giving, where I highlighted one of their friendship bracelets that were made to help support the nonprofit Restore NYC. Word on the street, the crafting street that is..... is that their designer herself, Marie, will be on hand at the fair displaying their new line. She will also be making the rounds at each of the Renegade Fair's around the US, so if you aren't here in Brooklyn, be sure to swing by and say Hi to her at either of these other two locations (she's the most lovely gal!) :: San Francisco- July 21 + 22, Fort Mason Center, 11am-7pm // Los Angeles- July 28 + 29, Los Angeles State Historic Park, 11am-7pm.
Do you fancy that necklace shown above? Well, if you do... and you've read this post this far.... then you may be in luck. Be sure to stop back here next week to see how to win that very necklace for yourself!
