With all the holiday spirit in the air, the Christmas trees on every corner, the wreaths hung on doors and Mariah Carey playing in every store.... my winter wonderland dreams have begun. I grew up in the Midwest, so a white Christmas was expected. It has been unseasonably warm in the city these past couple of weeks, but now that we are inching closer to Dec 25th.... I'm dreaming for at least one huge snowfall to coat the city before we depart for Texas. I want to stroll by the holiday windows on 5th Avenue with little white snowflakes cascading through the air, with a coffee in hand, and let's be honest, probably Mariah Carey playing in the speakers (her holidays album is everywhere this time of year people). Is that so much to ask for?

..... it's statements like that where I'm reminded how lucky I am. Read his
