As newlyweds, we are continuously trying new recipes and attempting to whip up meals that are super easy, affordable and have variety. If you know me, you know 1) I operate under the belief the oven was meant to be used as extra drawer space for sweaters and 2) I'm a creature of habit. I'll eat the same four foods every day for the rest of my life. My other half enjoys the fun and flavorful side of foods over the simple and bland. Luckily, he knows his way around the kitchen and has been slowly teaching me practical tricks along the way.....starting with using the oven to hold things like......pans. Go figure.
A new favorite of ours is our version of the flatbread pizza. Only takes a few ingredients, a few minutes and can be cut up and served as an appetizer in a larger dinner party scenario or as a dinner for two. You can use any number of combinations of ingredients , we use whole wheat Tandori Naan flatbread, buffalo mozzarella & ricotta from our local (and favorite!!) cheese shop - Brooklyn Larder.
