Nothing brings me more joy than gathering around a dinner table with friends, enjoying a good meal, sipping wine and hearing echoes of laughter. I'm constantly changing up my table decor and love to make every dinner unique. The DIY daisy napkin holders above are from our trip to Maine last month. I really wanted to share the idea as they were nearly effortless, so simple and dainty and perfect for the rustic cabin setting. I literally walked out the front door, strolled up to the side of the dirt road, and found those darling daises! I'll be replicating them again at our home and want to try it out with a few other flower options too.
This week has been a good one ::
- Willie Nelson lended his chops on a cover version of Coldplay's "The Scientist" for an adorable stop-motion animation video for Chipotle about the business of staying organic. It's really well done!
- Have I shared my thing for skulls with you? The chic and McQueen type, not the creepy kind..... just to be clear! Well, it must be the rocker girl in me as I'm drawn to anything that looks this new Rebecca Minkoff bag.
- The Venice Film Festival red carpet was a never-ending 'I want that dress' moment. Everyone looked amazing. My vote is that Evan Rachel Wood stole the show in that all white number..... and Cindy Crawford.... seriously, do you age? I mean, come on, she's stunning!
- For the next month ALEGRIA, a non-profit empowering children in orphanage communities through creativity and art, are teaming up with La Sagrada Familia and the National Symphonic Orchestra of Peru to provide musical instruments to teach classical music to the children of La Sagrada Familia. Please learn more about ALEGRIA and join us in supporting!
Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend!
